Greetings from our APAT NZ Region. Although isolated from our Australian Regions by that large expanse of water, the Tasman Sea, we are very much part of APAT and enjoy exchanging news and views and participating in the wonderful Australasian Exhibitions. Our 59 New Zealand members are scattered throughout the country from Russell in the far north to Bluff at the southern most point of the South Island. Please get in touch if you are visiting New Zealand - you can be assured of a very warm welcome by our members.

Our President is Val Kenward from Palmerston North, and committee members are Gay Carroll, Sue McClelland, Christine Handley and Margaret Soong who are from the same region.

*** It is with much regret we advise that in the beginning of May 2009, Neville, the husband of Val Kenward our national President died. Our hearts go out to Val, who has lost her dearest friend and helpmate. Neville will be sadly missed by her and the Kenward family, and also by the many china painters around New Zealand. Neville was a delight to deal with at the porcelain shows and exhibitions and always had a happy smile and banter with each lady who purchased supplies from the Shand China booth.
